Elite Pete reckoned i should get some pictures on here, I brought the stainless steel exhaust and unichip off of him

Had some time after work today to give it another quick coat of polish so thought id get some updated pictures.

Heres a spec list of the car:

Congrats ! As a car colour, I've always hated white BUT...Wow, after seeing yours I think I've been converted. The mods you've made REALLY have made a heck of a difference...

Wheels are designed for a vectra C although ment to be the same offset etc. fronts are perfect but could ideally do with 15mm rear spacers for it to be spot on, although the 10mm will do for now

Well ive been busy today,.. Wired in the Unichip and also fitted a resonator box. Both made a huge difference.

Resonator box is a strange one, it is really impressive top end and high rpm. but does feel like its lost a small amount of torque low down or smoothed the torque curve out. Would like to get it on the rollers with and without the resonator box just to see but im very happy either way and will see how i get on with it.

Again mate.... spot on with the mods, the blue hoses look very good.... ok being honest the whole car looks good and has that street sleeper appearence which gets my vote

nice, but is paint used for plenum heat resistant. I would also change expansion tank

,which I'm sure you will as its a work in progress. Love to see end result

Absolutely fantastic car mate!! I'd 2nd the notion of changing the coolant header tank. I cahnged mine recently and the difference is staggering... and only 30 quid on TC!!

Yep you've beaten me to it! I'm in the planning stages of doing a similar project with an ex Met 3.0 mv6,mechanics are done courtesy of DLK,bodywork is'nt to shabby but a full respray is planned for next year with the prep to be done over this summer,wheels not to sure may be Dotz but have been toying with having the original wheels black chromed,then it's just a matter of finding two good leather interiors as I've got a 3.2 to finish of as well.Seeing that we both live in the same town then may be we might cross paths as I would love to get a closer look at your stunning car

Sounds good, Would like a full respray myself probably next year.

I keep seeing a omega estate with a private plate. This isnt you is it? Also a nice facelift silver mv6 every now and again.

Mine is coming off the road at the end of the month now to start fitting LPG. cant deal with the fuel bill's anymore

I do'nt get to go through Winnersh that often except late at night when they close the A329M for roadworks and you get to go all the way round the Triangle to get back onto the road you've just come down

you may well have seen Chris Gixer knocking around though because he's not so far from you.

Yeah A329M can be a bugger when they close it.

Im only ever in my omega on weekends as have a company van through the week and work out of the area. Seems to be loads of us around here with omega's though, my brother, dad and 4 of my mates own omega's, Always having little meets locally 8-)

I'm always up for a meet and you're right there are quite a few Omega's in the area but there does'nt seem to be much interest shown, I usually go up to the Oxford meet(work permitting)or shoot down to the Kent meet both of which take about an hour and a bit to get too.So it would be great to get a meet going in this area as there must be a few places locally which could be used to get it started

Deffo, Im actually admin on OON, We do hold regular meets locally. Maybe we could start a local joint meet as long as OOF admins are ok with it. Could be pretty cool and a bigger turn out. Plently of locations.

Ill start coming to the oxford and kent meet on here either way too as they always look good 8-)

when i say change header tank, I mean if you could get one thats clear. I've seen a couple. Its just the xisting one looks it may spoil the end result imho.

Just a thought, maybe also change air filter box to performance one. I think eurocarparts do a blue(don't quote me). Only a suggestion as apart from looking neater it will give advantage towards performance because of air flow

Not into performance cone filters etc, Loose performance from heat soak. I keep my panel filter new on a regular basis (so its as good as a performance panel filter) and also have a second cold air feed coming out of the bottom of the airbox, through the arch/wing and to the bumper grille. So theres two air feeds. Always done this on my cars and found the best results on a rolling road and top end acceleration 8-)

Ta mate

Brought it from Reddot Racing, They had it on their rolling road with just a exhaust and got 241.7bhp at the flywheel. Since then ive done alot more but havnt had it rolling roaded yet. Looking to get it done once ive fitted lpg

Obviously lpg is like 110 octane so once fitted im going to get my unichip set up for high octane fuel. Should gain a little bit of power from the lpg then.

Should see at least 250-260 but i dont like guessing so will see

Ive also got port and polished cyclinder heads in the shed, So next year i might do a top end build with the heads, get the cams reprofiled maybe and then get the unichip set up to match.
