CCR 2006 cd fault. Screen says "No Cd"
« on: 26 October 2014, 21:56:22 »

I have a 2003 2.2 CDX estate but the cd will not work. I have read through Vauxhall radio guide for trouble shooting and the forum but cannot find any information on the subject so here I go as a newbie.

I have loaded the 4 disc cartridge for the CCR 2006 with proper Cds put it until it clicks and close flip panel. I can hear it trying all the discs 1 through to 4 as displayed on the screen. The display then says "No Cd" and returns to play the radio.
Both the radio and tape player are working great :).

I have had the estate since April 2014 and previous owner when contacted stated CD did work but never used it much.

Any help would be great any fix advice would be fantastic as I want to keep the car standard as it looks great :y

Laser has failed on the CD player

Not one we can fix here, as run out of genuine lasers for that model now, but I believe others on here can help you with the use of pattern parts etc.

Needs a new laser. The parts are available in Germany, but not straightforward to fit (not that I've done one...  ...yet).

CDRs lead to premature failure of these lasers.

Thank you to Dave at DND and TheBoy for the quick replies :y.

Do you know where to obtain the laser from in Germany? or is it a case of obtaining  a working single din unit and swapping the laser from it into the CCR2006 as shown in a the guide by Omega Lord "4 disc CD auto changer repair"

Again thanks to you both :y

http://www.lasertrader.de/english/

But its probably easier to get another working CDC3, and swap it over. Note you need to keep your vertical board for security coding.
