Drink Driving
« on: 16 December 2013, 23:27:00 »

With Christmas nearly upon us I would like to share a personal experience with you about drinking and driving.

As you may know Northamptonshire Constabulary are having a serious go at Drink Drivers from 1st December this year.

Well, a couple of days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had a small number of drinks before dinner, followed by some rather nice red wine. Feeling "jolly" I had the sense to know that I may be very slightly over the limit.

That's when I did something that I've never done before - I took a black taxi home.

Sure enough on the way home there was a police road check, but since it was a taxi they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident.

This was a real surprise as I had never driven a taxi before, I don't know where I got it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it.

Any ideas?
 ;)

Top Tip. :y

Now... who do we know who's got a Taxi... ::)

Hmm. Does it have to be black? ???

Oh, actually, I know a black one that would be "adequate". ;)

Hmmmmm ....could get some magnetic 'Taxi' plates made up to stick on the doors. Can't be that hard to get a 'Taxi' thingy to stick on the roof.  ;D  :y

Can't see the point in drink/driving, you'll only end up spilling it everywhere.

It's amazing though the number of people that still do. The husband & son of my wife's work colleague was hit broadside by a pissed up driver just this week ..... fortunately all were OK, but the driver was that drunk he'd to be formally charged dinner time (lunch time for some  ;)) the following day when he'd sobered up enough.  :o
