A free Miggy for this Noob.
« on: 17 April 2009, 19:15:53 »

I am the proud owner of a rather scruffy Elite 3.0 Estate.  It belonged to my new girlfriends late Father and was being used by her ex-husband. He had been driving down the A9 last March in the snow. A truck had braked in front of him and he ,on braking skidded and the car went backwards down a bank. It sat there for a week before he could recover it. Meantime some kids had smashed the drivers window. He bought something else and the Elite sat with a bin bag over its window.  When my 1991 Subaru Legacy packed up my GF asked him if I could buy the Elite. He gave it to me. Free car! Except for the niggles. To add to the list is a 3'' chunk out of an alloy rear wheel with a slow leak. A wheel bearing rumbling and a coolant leak. I got a window from a breaker and replaced it myself today. Never done this before so well chuffed. I think this forum will be very helpful!!
