Putting new battery into V6 Elite
« on: 13 June 2009, 12:31:34 »

Thanks to your help on here I have taken the old battery out with no probs  :)

Look at my nic here... yup that's me  No..knowledge  :-[

The Mrs is out atm picking up a new battery from Halfords  Another £72 spent on this car :(   Oh well.

Anyway is there anything special to do putting the new battery in. Pos first then neg I believe. Anything other than that I need to do?

Cheers folks.

I will get round to filling in profile a bit more etc but I am away from tomorrow morning to go fly my glider in a competition for 2 weeks. :)  The gliding was one of the main reason I bought the 3 ltr V6 Elite. For towing the trailer out of all the fields I end up landing in  :(  FAB car when it works.

Fit your new battery as you say, +ve first. You'll then need to re-set your windows ... press & hold in the 'UP' direction for about 4 or 5 secs, till you hear a click from the door, do this for each window. Sunroof needs re-setting too, push & hold the dial in each major position till all movement has stopped!  :y  :y

And obviously radio/cd codes! See handbook for details!  ;)
