Rear susoension
« on: 26 August 2018, 15:58:02 »

Hello all again. I have my had my 2.6 elite that long and I am trying to sort out all the niggles to make it perfect. One of the questions I've got is the previous owner decided to remove to self levelling suspension on the rear and replace it all with bikstein stuff. However I've just used it to tow and when trailer attached or under load the car seems to sit extremely low at the back so much so that the exhaust sometimes scrapes  is there a chance the shocks or springs are wrong or too soft. Or is there a more heavy duty shock that can be used.. thanks ahai

Plod springs and self levelling is the best combination.  :y

I have not used the following but perhaps it is of use to follow up with them;

https://www.sparepartstore24.co.uk/opel-spares/omega-b-25-26-27/3861/10213/coil-springs

The above is for the Saloon X30XE but you can make your own slection.

Good luck and appreciate any updates as I may need the same stuff in the future.

Rear shockers have a 4mm plastic pipe going into them.,and shockers have what looks like a rubber bladder on them.
