Climate bulb renewal (Prefacelift)
« on: 29 October 2006, 11:16:50 »

Many Thanks to Bo Bo, Hotel21, and Dave C for the pictures...

Remove radio and cage.

Remove switches and blanks, starting with hazard switch and working outwards - These prise out, but be careful not to scratch or damage them.
If present, remove 2 screws that were hidden by hazard switch.

Remove Ashtray insert.
Remove single screw that can now be accessed via slot in rea of ashtray, and remove ashtray.

Remove 2 screws that are now visable that hold bottom part of centre console in place.
Reach up through radio aperture, and pull down release bar - centre console should now be free (see picture below for location of release bar).  (Thanks to Hotel21 for picture)

Some extra pictures of release bar, as this is not easy to comprehend the first time you do it (Thanks to Dave C for piccies)

Unplug wiring to climate and to switch banks and withdraw centre console.

The climate panel bulbs can now be accessed, it is recommended to replace all 5.
