we are hoping to be there aswell jc but not sure if i will still have me miggy .i have had nothing but trouble with it .new waterpump new thermostat did the cambelt aswell now the head gasket has gone .I have brought  a new motor .we could not rely on the migg so mrs pj said enough is enough .we all have to do what swmbo says?  :y
Lets face it, I've turned up to Newent in the superior Rover before (due to Mrs TheBoy nicking the MV6 for a girlie weekend).

I do hope to turn up to Newent in the MV6 this year, but only time will tell  :-/.  I certainly aim to turn up in something, even if I have to scrounge a lift!!
very large COUGH.  ::)
You know what, if circumstances dictated I had to drop to running a single car, it would be the Rover, and the Omegas would go :-X
Same here, infact I have done a few times. I love our little 25 Diesel :)

Well, as it turns out it looks like I'm going to be touring Scotland in the Westfield the week following Newent. That makes Newent a handy staging post on the journey. Maybe Alton->Newent Friday night, try to get the serious p*ss up over with on Friday, early night on Saturday, Sunday Newent -> Glasgow to meet up with the nutters from www.se7ens.net then onwards into the highlands.

It's a great plan, with only a couple of flaws:
1) Early night on Saturday...  Hmm. ::)
2) Westfield is currently in too many pieces, but will be fixed by then.
3) Camping setup is going to be a bit minimal with a weeks' luggage as well.

Got to be a winner, though. :y

1) being the complete flaw in your plan ;D.  Is Mrs KW insured to drive the Westy at least part way to Scotland, whilst you sleep it off (if you drink enough, I bet you could sleep in it)

3) I guess you only need a small 2 man tent and a couple of sleeping bags.  There will, I'm sure, be enough kettles/gas/cookers/knocking around there?

You will insist that Mrs LD spends the days leading up to Newent in the kitchen.  She says they keep for 2 weeks or so (not tested that claim myself ::)), so as long as you keep your gob away from them ;D

There, problem sorted :y - just don't bring anything with handles on to Newent that Mrs LD can use as a weapon to batter me ;D

I don't know how she's got this 2 weeks figure... I've never known them last that long :-X ::)

As for handles... You're on your own there... I'm not brave enough to get in the way ;D ;D
