Next XJ will be all electric, mainly for wafting politicians in and out of Whitehall, with enough low down torque to overcome the bulletproofing and to outrun a rotten egg, or three!
Am I right in thinking that the even though it looks lardy, the XJ-R is actually lighter than the XFR due to all alloy monocoque? Lots more room in the back too.

My XFR weighs 1880KG according to the handbook.

TB adds 200KG to the weight of his XJ when he sits in it. :)

Most current XJs are around 1.8t, same as most XF's and the Omega.  The Sentinel (the bullet proof one) is the exception.

X250 XFR is not all alloy, the X260 is but, not available with V8

New XJ is electric only at launch, after that though......

That sounds like inside info.  Yes I meant the X250,  I didn't know there was an R version of the "new" XF, apart from the mental SVO project 8, and what with 4wd and all, that's a proper lardipants, or put another way it has very high levels of Gravity Induced Downforce.  What ever happened to lightweighting?  All sacrificed on the alter of crash test performance no doubt.

I'm pretty sure the Project 8 is an XE rather than XF. :y

I clicked on the link to view the bike.  :y  There's a certain nostalgia to the ring ting ting of a two stroke. You had to watch the middle pot on those though as the large chrome mudguard did little to help the air cooling of the middle cylinder.  :y

In my youth I loved taking in 2 stroke fumes. The smell and sound of a yowling demented stroker was a tonic, although probably not one prescribed by a doctor.

RD400 and Suzuki GT 750 were best. :y

Editor / creator / founder of Evo magazine I think. He's also a farmer, I can only guess he must have some family wealth as I don' think either of those things would buy those cars, even if he was smart enough to buy them all at the bottom of their depreciation curves.

Harry's garage is an entertaining youtube watch.

Harry has an easy going unassuming manner. He also owns a selection of great cars and bikes. I'd say he is not short of a bob or two. :y
