Got a new car yesterday
Another Zafira?
Nope, a full on 1980s EV....

….from Tamiya ;D
If it's big enough, you could deliver food to your elderly neighbours with it.

Or I could just send Mrs TB down the road with it.  Not that the oldies here have asked for help, according to those on our road's arsebook group.

IF you lived in Brackley and where old enough to remember "the incident" ....
Would you want a suspicious package delivered By TB
even if you where low on supplies   :-\

though i'm sure swapping from gas/petrol power which is highly explosive to lithium iron battery technology to tinker with will be fine  :o

Old hat, and far too stable.  That's why we use Lithium Polymer packs now.

Nice? What did you get? I have a tamiya beetle somewhere from the mud 90's and an inferno DX ICE car somewhere, boxed up. Hopefully to see the light of day sometime in the future.

Over a few days, cambelt kit, aux belt, aux tensioner, water pump, cam covers, spark plugs, all the filters and full service on my 2.6 Elite.

Used her for my commute the other day............first time I've driven her properly in a year -  bliss!!!  :y

Im planning on doing most of the above to mine in the next few months. Finding the energy and motivation seems to be the hard part these days though.

True, but you don't know how old, knackered, unfit, worn out and facked up I am. Lol.

I used to race a rear drive Mardave Marauder back in the day, then the 4wd stuff came about and trashed everything :-\

Used the Auto Glym leather cleaning kit on the RR seats, nice & easy to use,  interior is totally immaculate anyway but passes a bit of time on this 12 weeks laydown. 😎

Put a load of electricity in the Battlebus, though think it could do with a bit more.  Don't want to leave on charge overnight, as we got a load of rain last night that was unexpected.

Its not like it won't be there tomorrow ;D

Finished cleaning the carpets and started scrubbing and treating the seats. Front seats and all the heater ducting tomorrow, then dash out, assuming I can get a replacement... Got holes in it for a starter switch  ::)

Once that's out, I can start refitting the interior along with the bits to make it work again... Or not :D

Nah, it's a Blitzer Beetle. Not worth anything to speak of, but this good fun and has some nice childhood memories attached to it.

https://www.modelsport.co.uk/tamiya-blitzer-beetle-2011/rc-car-products/365822

I remember the DX being a total pig to get up and running, but then I didn't have much idea what I was doing with an engine (of any sort) back then. Needs a proper going over and fettling, at some point.
