ABS ECU FAULT
« on: 17 May 2009, 10:44:49 »

hi all

ive recently fitted a second hand abs ecu on my omega to cure the usual abs tc speedo fault, upn fitting the new one, the light briefly went out then came back on, along with all the related probs.

does anyone know whether the ecu needs programming, and if so can it only be done at the dealers or can any one else do it.

many thanks

Sounds like yours is dodgy or wasn't the original cause.

When i swapped the one on the estate all lights out, speedo working as soon as i fired it up.

Mine was the same as Dbug's. Swapped it over and everything worked fine and still does.

Did yours come off the same year'ish and model and did you check the part number was the same?
