Bulb trouble
« on: 23 May 2018, 14:36:49 »

Tarting up the Omega, I decided to get some OSRAM Night Breaker bulbs (as recommended by Tunnie!!).

I made sure that i entered my reg number and both the OSRAM site and Amazon said I need the H7 bulbs – which I bought (along with HB4 for full beam).

The H7 bulbs appear to be too fat and they have two connections, not the one on the existing.  ???

Managed to break the clear plastic box they came in, but will try to send them back. Grrrr.  >:(

H7 are halogen, aren't yours xenon? If so, IIRC, they are D2, but let someone else confirm.

No, mine are halogen. Just checked elsewhere and find I need H1 for dipped. I' won't bother to return anything as the HB4s are good for main and the H7s are good for the fogs.

I'll get there in the end.  ;)  :P

There's actually a sticker on the light cluster which details all the required bulbs...

No need to order the wrong ones ???
