Are the left and right front seat bases the same?

I've recently used a passenger seat base to replace my nearly worn through drivers one. It turns out that the foam wasn't much better than the upholstery, and I now sit about 15mm higher in more comfort. And the heating element works, which it didn't when I bought the car six years ago :y


I would have used the seat back as well, but there are a couple of snags: 1, facelifts have seat airbags, and it would look odd with one facing the passenger side something I would have put up with if it wasn't for; 2, the donor seat was from a CDX saloon so tilts forward, which the drivers seat does not.

Backrest foam should be interchangeable too, just the cover that won't  ;)
