Does anyone know what the original tyres supplied with the PFL Omega were?

Spares were Michelin HX. I've often wondered this, too.

Most car manufacturers use several suppliers for same car and same dimension of the tyre.
Probably that was the case with omega, too.

Even if they're still selling a Pirgoodchelintal aardvark 3000 17 years later, it won't be the same rubber formulation or carcase construction. So it won't drive/feel/last/look/cost the same.


And we all have different  experiences; I have happily paid extra for Pirellis(including P6000), but you would have to pay me to put Michelins on my car.

I think we're safe as there isn't room for it on a low profile tyre, and it isn't tough/ridiculous enough for a 4x4 tyre - Desert Duellers for instance.

A very good tyre by Bridgestone.still available.

Think omegas' came from factory with Michelins.

Michelin Pilots I think were on mine - Here is picture of the Old Girl from 2002 (Had her from New so I know what was on there before !)



Here is a picture of her NOW - 14 years later !!!  (Now on Uniroyall Rainsport 3's  :y)

She has aged well  :y :y :y

Michelin pilots on mine as well from new, got nearly 25,000 out of them before they neared the end of their life.  :y

Brochure pic shows Michelin HX (that was early PFL, however) Pilots sound right for MFL / FL :)
