I dont believe its cam or crank sensor....a 2.2.....possibly 2.6/3.2 will start with them disconnected.....tho havnet tried disconnecting both of them together......it struggles...prolly 5 secs of cranking but it will start.

Sounds like imoboliser prob if the EML is flashing

I know thats why i was ashamed!  :-[ - I could vagiley remember it, but didn't want to post incase it was wrong

Can't remember the immobiliser code on the 4 digit systems, its 145 on older ECUs...

Sounds immobiliser due to flashing EML, but I would never rule out cam sensor on a flipping 2.2  >:(

and at £50 TC, £66 retail they aint cheap either.

Watch this space for a how2 on the cam sensor  ;)

I'll be watching with interest to see if you do it with aux belt off....the 'correct' way, or the shortcut way  ;)

What you have to remember is that 'the wife' thinks it might be flashing which in a womans case means, 'no probably not, didnt notice, not my colour'  ;D
