Title: Hello!
Post by: Dr_Syn on 25 February 2018, 20:08:39
Just wanted to say hello.  I had an Omega estate years ago and am now looking at getting and Omega again to pull a touring caravan.  I quite fancy the idea of getting back into a big old Vauxhall, it is a shame they don't make anything like them anymore!

While I hope to get as much information as I can from this site, I also hope I can also contribute when I can. :)

Thanks for all the welcomes.  My plans changed during the week as the garage selling the first Omega I looked at dug their heels in on the price, despite it needing work on the front suspension if not the back as well.  However, today I bought myself a silver 2.6CDX auto Saloon from a gentleman in Burnley.  I was sold when he handed me a wad of invoices for thousands of pounds of work he'd had done in the many years he owned it, including the front suspension only last year!  I'll have to get a towbar fitted to this one, but at least I buy it knowing its never had to pull anything heavier than itself!

Ironically, after I bought this one, the garage dropped their Omega by £100!  I still think I got the better car though!
