I hope some of his earlier shows are shown on TV as a tribute. It will show people younger than me - especially so called comedians - what real side splitting comedy looks like .
In the 70,s, before he started to get too manic for his own good, he was a comic genius. Had a good singing voice too.

Saw him a couple of times back in the seventies, absolutely brilliant comedian in my opinion the best the UK has ever produced .RIP Freddie .

I thought she had departed decades ago.

What a loss of someone who gave us youngsters, listening to our wireless in the late 1950's so much pleasure.

So many great, simple, songs that still have the power to entertain :y

Brian Walden. Former razor sharp, TV political interrogator. The only one of todays so called impartial interrogators who could be mentioned in the same breath would be Andrew Neil.
He was a Labour MP in a former life,but his wife said today the thing he will miss most is seeing this country leave the EU.
