Gave the Mondeo's passenger seat and surroundings a thorough wash last night.  :y

As it looked wet enough this morning I decided I should close the passenger door window....  ::)  :-[

It certainly did, the seat is soaked and the window was only left open an inch!  It was howling and pishing down last night though....  ::)

Repaired damage to the near side front bumper upper mount.

Damage caused to the car when it fell into a very large pothole.  :(

Filled the Range Rover with diesel for first time in over a month £62.00 used to spend about £300.00 a month before  I retired in June.😄

New  front discs (Brembo) & pads (GM) and changed the brake fluid. Old discs were absolutely knacked, so I expect the braking to be a lot better now.  :)
Will try and remember to post a pic of the old discs tomorrow. Should raise a larf.  :D

Insured 'em.

Not much change from £600, but still significantly cheaper than renewal quote.

Cambelt change #4 done and aircon now fully functional again. Which has only confirmed earlier suspicion that the thermostat is stuck open.

Gave it a bit of a pre MOT checkover. Found that both rear springs are missing about two centimetres off the top end.  ::)
Dont suppose it has much affect on how they perform, but I imagine its an instant failure all the same.
Springs are 4 years old Sachs, and have done approx. 15,000 miles.  ::)
Time for another new pair I suppose. Any current brand a favourite at the moment. ?

Mine seems to sit quite low at the back with Sachs springs and shocks although both are 3 years/60k miles old now and with the weight in the boot get a really hard life.

Might look at some Kilen HD in the spring when it warms up now as MOT pass so no mechanical issues just lots of grounding on speed bumps etc

I put a new pair of Sachs dampers on the rear of mine less than a year ago. It now sits lower at the rear and scrapes the mudflaps over speed bumps,or if theres more than a couple of bags of shopping in the boot, or even if I accelerate hard from a standstill.
Im not impressed with them tbh.
Would love another pair of s/l dampers, but they cost as much as the car is worth. Might go back to Bilstiens at some point.

You're still alive so the brakes must be ok.
