Door lights have never worked....
« on: 31 March 2017, 17:29:20 »

The puddle jumper door lights have never worked in the 13 years of this car. It's about time I had a try at fixing them.
Me & car electrics are complete strangers :o Where do I start? Then what do I do next?  ;D

If none of them work I would suspect a fuse has blown, or the cable feed to that circuit has been broken. Even, if you have not thought about it, the all bulbs have blown; a rarity and probably unlikely, but just check it out first.

Have a look on this guide and on Pages 186 & 187 you will see the fuses listed. Look for the ones with "Courtesy lamps" and note if any of the other electrical items on that particular fuse are working or not.  If those other are not work then that could well be the fuse for the door lights that has blown.

You start there and just rule out any of the reasons why they are not working. :y
