When they do come off, refit with some copper slip for ease of removal next time. :y

Wire brush the hubs first - something you should do for any hub face mounted disc. This is a perfect job for a cordless angle-grinder with a cup wire brush.

For whatever reason the mundane-o discs take quite a bit to knock off.

Yes it was a hell of a job when I did the fronts last year.  ::)

Ended up smashing one up...  :o

It’s almost like the hub and disc hat are an interference fit  I’ve had wheel bearings pop out easier 😂😂😂

I saw one of our guys hit one repeatedly so hard until the hat separated from the disc 😧😧😧😧😧😧😂😂😂

The fleet repair co. who serviced the vehicles for the company I last worked for used a really quick & easy method. But of course they had all the kit  8)
The technician first assembled  a 3 legged  puller on the disc & got some tension on the device & sprayed a lot brake cleaner fluid up behind the disc
He swopped the windy gun for an air hammer & hammered on the front face of the disc where it sits on the hub. I`d say after about 2 minutes of this deafening treatment & with his mate increasing the tension on the puller the disc popped off.  ;D

That's pretty much how I got the rear discs off the Jaguar hubs when I broke it, too.. although replace "air hammer" with "lump hammer" and "popped off" with "came off with such a bang I thought a bomb had gone off" ;D
