Title: Dutch newbie
Post by: jefflem on 15 June 2018, 20:54:08
Hi everyone,

Few weeks ago I already registered myself here and thought it would be a good idea to say "hello"! ;) In 2015 I bought my Opel Omega Elegance with only 50k (miles) as a temporary car, though it's still there (130k miles at the moment). Although it only has the 2.2L engine, it's quick enough as a daily driver.

cheers, Jeff

Thanks! ;) The colour is Z155 (Moonland if I'm not mistaken). I agree it's not the best picture... :-\

Welcome!

In the UK those alloys would denote this model as the 'CDX' - which is one off the top in terms of luxury/rank (excluding sports models) - It is my understanding that in Europe the 'MV6' was the very top, whereas we called that top-spec car the 'Elite' - just wondering where your 'Elegance' model sits in the Opel range? Looks smart  :)

Thanks everyone! It looks like the Elegance is (quite) similar to the UK CDX version indeed. The MV6 was indeed the top-level for pre facelift Omega's in Europe. With the introduction of the FL, the top model was named Executive. The basic model was the Business edition (no rear powered windows, standard interior, no indication lights behind the climate vents etc). The Elegance seemed to be somewhere in between. Fun thing is that all wires are already there. Retrofitting sunscreen, leather interior with heated seats is literally plug and play. :)
