« on: 07 December 2012, 17:32:59 »

do anybody else find that vx dealers no longer stock any parts for a mig. a company in wakefield  called H.S  Components Co., apparently bought ex gm stock. iv,e used them twice now & on both occasions they,ve had it on the shelf..  this time i asked for a wiper stalk with cruise control for a 2.5td. now dealers & the well known ebay shops all said they could,nt get the deisel stalk.   :) :y

TBH, a lot of it is down to lazy parts staff... Andyc will give an honest answer and, if it's out there, he'll find it.

Autovaux are not a vauxhall dealer.

In fact Autovaux are not trusted among some members here.

Autovaux are a bunch of useless, lying 'tards. I will never use them again. In fact, if they went tits up, I'd hold a party.

Never had any issues with my dealer, except a delay if parts have to be shipped from Europe.

See. ;D

Dealers are legally obliged to support any model for 10years after production, I am fairly cirtain.

Although that's for Main components. Things like door cards have been unavailable for years.

Must've been comfy & couldn't be arsed to look on EPC  >:(

Although one lad at my local Vx parts dept is a grumpy bugger, there's never a problem getting stuff.  :y

Manufacturers, not dealers. Dealers are a retailer, and they have every right to tell you to FO if they can't be bothered.

Obviously, too many complaints to the manufacturers head office will result in a chat with said dealer.

I'l; say at this point, Sherwoods at Stockton-on-Tees are brilliant - the parts guys anyway, and the technicians are friendly. The rest of the staff are utterly useless though.

I'm sure they only have to supply parts for upto 7 years after the end of production - a lot of parts are carried on to the next model though (ok no omega C)

I seem to remember that GPS are somehow linked to Autovaux. Although it can take a long time to get answers/bits from Autovaux, I have had no problems personnaly.
