Breaking a 1999 2.5 CD Estate in Z549
« on: 24 November 2009, 13:51:20 »

The doors dont have any rust on them. The rear drivers side door bumper strip is damaged at the front edge.
The rear tailgate has some scratches on the top where it looks asthough some ladders have caught it.
It has three brand new tyres on it.
Everything is for sale on this car so let me know if you need anything.
Cheers
Daz :)

Hi Daz,
what's the bonnet like and how much?
I had some boards on and they fell off and landed on my bonnet and put a couple of grooves in it.
I'll leave you the old bonnet so you will get the scrap value when you weigh in what's left of the car.
Cheers
Simon.

Hi, I'm looking for a windscreen washer dipstick, also an aerial for my 99 2.5TD CDX Estate, if available.

I also now need a good AR35 box.

Cheers

I have not seen many of the washer bottle dipsticks that are in one piece being honest, usually in the bottle somewhere ;D
I have a good AR25 gearbox but not a 35.

Do you have the lock barrel and a key for the glove box please?
Does your ashtray come out on a spring when pushed in, if so any chance of a photo of where the end of the spring fits onto the bit of plastic as in the photos below.

In the picture that plastic finger is upside down though.
Put the spring on the small plastic column first, then the plastic finger, you will need to push with a small screw driver the spring over where I have put the arrow :y
Hope that helps :y

Hello mate, can you help with these parts:-

Drivers door motor.
Drivers door check strap complete
Auxilliary coolant pump
Front door outer window rubbers, both sides.

Sure there's more bits I need but can't think of them now.

What audio does it have? Do you know if it is compatible with a '99 gls with steering wheel controls?

Hi,

I'm after a bit of door trim - the plastic clip on bit which you hold when pulling the door closed. I need these for both front doors if you have them? If you're not sure what which bit I'm on about then I can send a pic of what I mean. If you have them, what colour are they?

Thanks,

Rob.

Do you have the wiring that got lost when we replaced the leather seats with my old ones a while back.
By that I mean will the wiring from this car you're breaking now fit my car.
do you remember? my cloth seats had the heated seats and the up and down powered bit and I needed the wiring which went form the seats to the main loom, like a connecting piece, sorry if that's a bit vague but you know me and cars like  :-?

The doors dont have any rust on them. The rear drivers side door bumper strip is damaged at the front edge.
The rear tailgate has some scratches on the top where it looks asthough some ladders have caught it.
It has three brand new tyres on it.
Everything is for sale on this car so let me know if you need anything.
Cheers
Daz :)

I dont know how far youre going with the stripping, but i need the wiring loom from the abs module to wherever it goes intact, if u can do let me know,

kind regards

Does yours have the same ABS ECU as my 2000 (W) reg 2.5CD Auto Saloon? Mine's got the dreaded ABS/TC/Speedo fault so if yours is the same as mine and works.....?

Also could do with a N/S mirror backshell. The missus keeps arguing with the gatepost! (Wrong colour but a can of paint is only a few bob.)

And the small plastic twist-clips that hold the scuttle to the lower windscreen frame? I lost a couple when I had the scuttle off to do an HBV change a few weeks ago.

Cheers,
Gaz

Hi Gaz, the only ECU I have is off a 3.0 so I think I am right in saying that it will fit etc but will need a chat to a tech2.
I do have the other bits you need too :y

How much do you want for the N/S mirror backshell and a couple of the scuttle clips?? You wanna mail me at gary_b_cooper@hotmail.co.uk? I've got this thread set to notify me but it never does for some reason!

I'll pass on the ecu thanks - I'm trying to avoid having to go the Tech2 route if at all poss.
