I always fancied the Rover. Never came close to owning one. But all cars from that era were rustbuckets.

My Morris Marina 1800TC Coupe finished in mustard with a black go faster stripe down the bonnet will always be in my top 10 of best cars I've owned!  :y

Of those,I've owned a mini[but not the clubman]and had 2 SD1's a series 1 3500 with manual box and a series 2 2L also with manual box.Rusty?Yes and with dodgy electrics!,but I'd have another-early V8S or later Vitesse :y Liked the Princess when it came out as it was different to the 3 box shape everyone else was moving to,never owned one but did later own an Ambassador which was actually a pretty good car and comfy too.

I note that the pompous customer talked about reclining seats as though they were a luxury item.

I suppose in 1975 a radio was an optional extra unless you bought a Datsun.

I owned (was given free of charge) a 1981 Princess 1700. Actually not a bad car that handled well and proved to be very spacious.

I had a problem with something called 'displacers' ??? which were part of the hydragas (I think) suspension.

At that time we had Ford Company cars and I regularly thanked God that my Company never wanted to touch BL cars.  To me as a twenty year old they were a joke and were for "old people" ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D
