Error codes 59 & 73 on 2.5 ecotec
« on: 01 September 2006, 14:52:57 »

Hi Guys
I've got the ECU light on  and it is giving me error codes 59 & 73. The light was on when i bought the car and showing theses codes. I reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 5 mins. All ok for about 40 miles then back on again. Car seems to be running ok. Following the FAQ guide, both theses faults are low voltage - is it possible that i simply have a common supply fault? and where the heck is manifold valve1 anyway?

Manifold valve 1 is the rear multiram - check the electrical connector on the rear and to right of plenum.

However, I'm wondering if its an earth problem, so check the earth connections between engine and chassis...
