HT leads for 2.5 V6
« on: 01 September 2006, 11:09:18 »

I am at the end of my wits!!! :'(
I have a 1997 2.5 CD V6 and its running rough. I am changing plugs and leads. Plugs ok but leads............
£90 + VAT for each bank from Vauxhall. Local factors have 2 choices £28 and £58 per set, but cant identify which I need as their chassis numbers are 8 digit and dont correspond to my log book.
I have leads from a 3.0MV6. would they be good to fit or is there a problem?
saw info about Vectra leads and stuff but can anyone help?
cheers
Rob

Pretty much all V6 leads are the same.

Your MV6 leads should be fine.

Sorry except the 3.2 V6 and 2.6 V6 - they have a different coil arrangement (coil per plug).

genuine v6 leads are scary prices.

A user here, Mtek Performance, sells Magnecor for good prices. They are high quality leads, so aren't cheap, but still cheaper than Vx

Yeah, I used them in my Land Rover, and in my old Chevette a few years back. They are the boy racers choice...  :P
But they really are quite good, and never gave me any trouble at all.

Cheers.

Well, I got away with a full set at £28.  ;D The £59 set was longer on the 2,4,6 bank and the MV6 leads were a lot shorter. strange world.I suppose voxmaul make their money when they supply GENUINE parts for work done. good grief!!

Just to remind you peeps that I have a poorly 1998 3.0MV6 which I am breaking. many parts still available.

cheers
