I had one of THESE (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fits-Vauxhall-Omega-2-5-V6-Genuine-BM-Cats-Exhaust-Manifold-Catalytic-Converter/292661536418?fits=Car+Make%3AVauxhall%7CModel%3AOmega&hash=item4423fca6a2:g:wmsAAOSwjYdbX0Vq) on my car for five years. Fit perfectly, with no issues.
They have 3.2 ones as well, but they're £200. That would be worth the £10 for a lambda boss and a few seconds welding to do away with the pre-cat to me.

i'm sure I've seen clamp on lambda bosses that require no welding, just a hole
can't remember where though :(
but don't the 2.5 cats have different clamps to the manifold :-\

You have to trim the top of the downpipe slightly where it enters the manifold.
Flap disc in your best precision angle-grinder.

You take about 3mm off.

which is about what you get if you draw round with a sharpie resting on the flange.
But that's probably too simple to be an OOF recommendation......

I think it is approved as long as it's a genuine Sharpie ;D
