All the 100bhp ones are Y20DTH ;). But there are 2 different variants.

Do Halfords still do service parts like filters? Thought they had stopped.

Just 100 ponies  :o :o :o

Don't think I could ever drive something with so few horses under the bonnet.  ;D ;D  :P :P

Given how old it is, could have lost a few and have around 90!  :o

My car had 90 when it left the factory 28 years ago. Dread to think how many have escaped during its 239,000 miles.  ;D
The secret is to get up to speed and then don't slow down if you can possibly avoid it.  :)

I'm not worried about the 100 BHP , or even 90 BHP because the crapasso was only 90 BHP to start with (non turbo 2.0 HDi 100k miles) plus I won't be driving it on a regular basis
with a new turbo core, good service,105 k on the clock , i doubt it will be far off 100 anyway
plus, it's for an OAP ,doubt he does many street races for pink slips  :y

Indeed , my omega v6 carries lots of tools etc ,and is a heavy lard arse lump to begin with , so i "get up to speed and then don't slow down if I can possibly avoid it."  :y

,the crapasso is dead)

Have the shower of shit that ruined it been taken to task yet ::)

all in hand , got an independent report  :y awaiting response from clutch cowboys
we have to be polite ,patient , follow procedure

to be honest , i'd be much happier working on this zaf than the crapasso anyway
of the many crapassos i looked at the other day as a replacement , all had welded or holed cills and other issues , much shaking of my head , sucking through my teeth , swearing  :-X
so i said ,in no uncertain terms ," BUY THIS VAUXHALL ZAFIRA " even though it says opel on the history  ;D

Its one of the lowest spec cars I've had for many years, including the leased Rover 400s she used to get.

I shoved a NCDR1100 in mine so at least I can add satnav to the list, purely because I had it laying around, and the cdr500 needed a code ;D

radio works (had to put the code in the cdr500  as it has a brand new battery )
roof ariel was missing ,but the replacement was about £4 delivered
still gets radio 1 fine till the ariel arrives , much to the annoyance of the zaf owner/family member
(who's over 70 ,listens to local radio shyte, rather than what noises his car is making  :()

SOP for us pensioners. ::)

I don't know what "SOP" is  :-\ guessing not good  :-\
If you found my comment offensive , I'm sorry  :(
I was not trying to disrespect ALL c̶o̶f̶f̶i̶n̶ ̶d̶o̶d̶g̶e̶r̶s̶ older drivers , just my relative

Yep, 'normal' for us, with the volume control set to: 'Auto increase to drown out unwanted bearing or other potential disastrous noises.' :y

The 2.0 Hdi 90 never got an intercooler, the 110bhp version did but was never fitted to the picasso, the later 1.6Hdi was available with both outputs :y

I know of a good low mile one ,just had the water pump and full cam belt kit done etc if your interested
just needs a gearbox ,clutch,wiring looms  :P

So I did get the sump plug out , thank you mole grips  ;D
the cheapo oil filter socket set turned up on time and surprisingly good quality for £10 delivered  :)
had to remove the EGR plug to comfortably get the oil filter out and new one in ,
the haynes joke book says 5.4 L or 5 L with filter  ;D
stripped the front brakes and lubed the guides etc
ordered new front and rear brake  pads and discs £71 delivered
(scored, uneven wear, lipped, probably the original discs)
wheel bearing with speed sender £30 delivered
fitted new wiper blades on the front ,dunno what they are meant to be but the pair of 24" ones I had spare (wrongly ordered for crapasso) fit and clear more screen than what ever was on (which where clearly the wrong size)
rear wiper was suffering the missing half the screen fault, so a new arm and blade ordered £10 delivered
air and oil filter was £8 delivered , new sump plug £2
last of my trade club oil , about £11 worth
brake fluid i have in stock
so, not very expensive to service it up
not that I will be footing the bill anyway  ;D

In other news ,the clutch cowboys asked if they could recover the crapasso to head office to "see what had happened "
 er......... NO  >:(
if they wish to inspect it , they can come and look , under my supervision.  ;D

Cleaned up and lubed the  rear brakes, Replaced the pads and discs,  pumped the brakes ....HIssssssss
Hard brake pipe near spare wheel had split, rusted under a plastic clip
I replaced the line from nipple to nipple with copper  :y
Broke 2 wheel braces trying to get the front o/s wheel off  :(
(i'd stripped and cleaned the N/s last week and decided to order discs and pads all round )
stripped and cleaned the brakes, fitted new discs and pads
bled the brakes ,pulled through to clear fluid
what a stupid place to put the brake reservoir  ::)
treated and undersealed around the subframe to chassis rail mounts
found the track rod end boot split, no play, so that can wait till MOT prep in march :P
Replaced the rear wiper arm, ariel,  new battery in the remote

My brother popped round while i was finishing it off ,putting tools away, and now he wants a Zafira too now  ::)
(his astra g estate is due for retirement, it's 20 years old now)
looking at the 1.7cdti zaf b (55 mpg  :-X ) as a replacement for the astra estate
