I was going to do my own clutch replacement but I can't get under the car due to my health.
I went to my local garage and was quoted £360. Includes gear box oil, 2 piece clutch kit and a slave cylinder plus 2 hours labor.
If the duel mass flywheel needs replacing it will be another £427.19
I was told that if its weeping then it will have to be replaced and if not leave it alone, if the dual mass flywheel is OK, because once the flywheel is removed and put back on it will have problems down the line. What are your thoughts on this?
I have already replaced the front crankshaft oil seal and asked them if they could replace the rear one when they had the box off.
Is it common for the dual mass flywheel on the Omega to fail?
Is the thrust bearing separate or is it part of the Concentric slave cylinder?
Thanks
