Rear brakes anti rattle shims

Fitted new discs and pads to rear of my 3.2 omega however the rattle shims had badly corroded so new ones needed..

Ive ordered three pairs up to now and all been wrong anyine else had this issue.. All three sets were different length pins but all to short and rattle shims didnt quite fit

Struggling now can anyone help

Oh, I was thinking about the clips that look a bit like a cross that fit over the outer edge of the pads  :-[

I think their called spring clips
There is an FAQ on the rear brake fitting kits, has the part numbers for the vented calipers

....they're retaining clips or springs.
Vauxhall used to do a kit - I remember buying it when I first got my car but that was a long time ago now!  :)

The spring clip from the solid disc set is fine, just clean up and reuse the pins :y

Not so, it can jam between the pads... Effectively locking out the rear brakes.

Not so, it can jam between the pads... Effectively locking out the rear brakes.
Wot he says.


New pins and spring available from dealer still, but from memory the pins are something like £4 each :o

Try a different dealer, just in case.  Some seem to suffer CBA.

This was the reality five years ago... complete set was around £40 last time I bought any.
