I'm doing the annual trawl through the comparison sites and Energy supplier websites. ::)
For the last 12 months I've been with Eon and the lights stayed on! :y But their cheapest tariff is significantly dearer than the one that I've been on and so I'm off! :P
Cheapest (based on the last 12 months usage) so far are Economy Energy at £529.77 pa and 'OutFoxTheMarket' at £517.42.
Has anyone used OutFox as they seem to be a new outfit or any other recommendations please! :y
Just think if Corbyn gets in and nationalises the energy companies, we'll be spared all this switching hassle as we'll just pay whatever the state monopoly charges us! :P ::) ;D

Nope never heard of that outfit...
My deal with coop energy ended recently and I was getting a good deal, however I switched to another of their tariffs, not as cheap as the deal I was getting (all the energy companies have put their prices up anyway). But I stayed with them for two reasons. My mothers account is linked to mine, so I can see her bills, usage, send meter readings, switch tariffs/etc all from my online account. Also with coop energy I'm eligible for the Warm home discount scheme (£140 off your energy bill) and so is my mum, which with other big 6 suppliers I'm not and not every supplier offers the Warm home discount scheme.....

you might look at utility warehouse www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk not used them myself but heard good reports and the idea seems sound.

Does the supplier actually matter though?
-
Mind you, I would pay extra to avoid the offshore callcentres.

Instead of listening to the likes of Martin Lewis who promise you a £150 saving, just equate that to three quid a week. I do, and that’s why I can’t be arsed.

I'm with Energie (I think that's how its spelled) at the moment, who are cheap and seem easy to deal with. We tend to change every year or so, as I cant afford to give money away for the sake of a couple of hours online.

Apparently STMO can.
Either that or he is a bone-idle scouse git. :)

If I use the same amount of energy in the next 12 months as the last, I'll save about £50 by switching to a different company. :y
However I will probably be at home more this winter than last year so will use more gas and leccy and thus will save even more. ;)

I switched to ENGIE at the end of last year. Didn’t like their ancient, clunky online offering so changed to Electricity de France.

Don't you shop around for your car insurance either? ??? Happy to pay £150 more than you have to? :-\

Don't forget once you've found the cheapest/best deal for you, check and see if it still is after using a cashback site. :y
