@theboy.. vallid point you've got there, the are not the most pretty cop units.
if i decide to make a project out of cop style ignition i'm gonna go with vag units, lot smaller and cleaner.
just need to find out what kind of signal the ecu gives and if they can handle the wasted spark, better jet, make something that bypasses the wasted spark

for nog the question is answered.. aint gonna work.. thanks to all for thinking allong  :y

thanks for the responses
isn't sai is the ram in the intake? nothing from the exhaust there.
i can let the ecu think the relais is still present with a simple restistor direct on the wires from the ecu.. point of this is that i can remove the complete loom section with all the relais. none of the other relais are in use anymore.

vss it can do without. most cars with a v6 conversion don't got that wire plugged in anyway, my calibra also doesn't

leaves the evap valve.. not enormously in the way but it's not connected anyway. canister is gone and the exhaust is vented to the air so no point of leaving that, isn't it because of a eml warning.

big question is the egr.. already welded the exhaust, removed al the pipe's and blanked the hole in the intake.
but the valve itself gives a eml when removed.

so the question, does the fault code for the last 2 influence the driving?
or does someone has a diagram for cheaters?

The wiring diagram for the loom i've got.. need one for the egr cheater.

Roadlegal isn't a problem. If i need to pass mot i'll hook up another loom and ecu.
Just want to remove everything without going into limpmode.

Abs is long gone. But vss signal isn't neccecary, my calibra works fine without. No eml and no changes as far as i can tell.
Can someone  verrify that?

any more input on this? i'm finally at the point to put the engine back in de omega and worry abouth the loom and codes

unfortunately never received the diagram,must have gone something wrong and forgot this topic  :-[ anyone got this for me?

to bad it ain't gonna work.. 3.2 ecu is totaly different, not a change that i get that working on the existing loom and sensors  :-\

gonna give the idea to a friend of mine, maybe he can make a electric circuit to get it to work.. small chance but he is a genius  :)

would be a nice upgrade for my calibra to get it a bit cleaner under the hood.(omega intake and ecu)
for now i'm gonna go for some custom made leads to get it as clean as possible

21
that is what i'm afraid for to, the recovery time.

found a topic from someone who had tried but given up after 1 test.
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=88962.msg1141572#msg1141572

it misfired but he never tried to diagnose the problem.

are the sensors interchangeable from the x30 and y32? maybe i can run it with a 3.2 ecu
i can check the pinout (autodata) and change it if neccecary (builded a custom loom for my calibra to accept omega ecu, changin some pins is easy compared to that)

22
good to hear  :y

question is now if the dual coil packs can handle the signal from the ecu.
x30 is wasted spark, y26 isn't i believe?
and the wiring? anyone got a schematic?

23
yes, covers are different indeed, but that's not a problem, 2.6 parts are easy available and cheap over here

no idea about the heads, don't think they are different and if they are will be quite easy adaptable i think

24
is it possible to make my x30xe accept the later 2.6/3.2 dual "cop" coils?

saves a lot of mess in the engine bay and less power loss on the wires  8)

sorry, not the promised update, not enough time today to start with the coilover.

in the hour i've spend in the garage i took a angle grinder and removed al the mounting bolts for the heatshields (most where broken anyway and exhaust routing will be drastically different, more on that later  ;) )
after that took the wire brush on the grinder and removed all the rust from the bottom and cleaned up the driveshaft

al the rust was superficial and nothing needs repairing  8) amazingly clean for a 94 opel/vauxhall  :o

i know the prices of toyota parts indeed, everything is ridiculously expensive. on the other hand, quality is very good and almost impossible to destroy

see my topic for coilover ;).. vw golf 2 is usable with some modification.. with my set i can set it to almost stock heigt and minus 5 inch.
with a decent set you can choose the length of the springs and the spring rate. only thing is that corner weighting is necessary to calculate the rate. over here not a lot of tuners can do that.

second option is a guy i know that makes custom kits for a decent price.. for a calibra front coilover set he asks around 350 euro, and they look and work much nicer than the kw sets.

amazing car  :y

was thinking of transplanting a saab turbo or volvo t5 to my trackcar in the future but this is a very good alternative. 8)
cant think of a reason why i never thought of this engine  :-[

this engine is very heavy but stock power hold on a 2jz is easy 500hp without opening the engine. only a bigger turbo and external stuff required..power to weight is amazing  :)

hoping for 1100/1200 kg with a full rollcage.. no idea if i'm being to optimistic    ;)

a few small update's;

refurbish t a set of brakes.. for now with the original pads. gonna replace them for high performance soon.
gave them a clean with a wirebrush
before and after;

and a bit of red brakepaint i got left from a previous project;

derusted and painted the suspension arms and uprights and replaced the hub (thread was damaged)

gonna remake the metal plates behind the disk to accept a 3inch cooling/ducts hoses, brake lines will be replaced for breaded.

got a new clutch setup to replace the dualmass..
flywheel and presureplate from a early c20xe,disk from a c20let,
also some new oem bolts for the flywheel and pressureplate. and new oil seals for the gearbox.

a spacer for the bearing is being made, also the flywheel will be skimmed for a better hold. after that the engine can be placed back  ;D

tomorow i'm hoping to replace the rear shocks for my vw coilovers (fabricating work required), update will follow tommorow evening i hope  ;)

time for a update.

al lot of time gone in the engine and gearbox, so not a lot off pics.
but done some minor things to the body.

first things first, got tired of working on the ground, so bought a car lift  :)

here are the spot welded welded arches;

modified the coilovers to accept a stabilizer bar;

and fitted everything. the droplink are from a land rover  ;D

the camber adjustment is amazing with 1inch spacers for the wheels, from -1 degree to -5 degrees adjustable  8)

some modifications to the body..
front towstrap fitted;

release pins for the bonnet

also for the trunk

and release  springs to keep the trunk closed (locking mechanism is long gone)
the trunk is now a pick off, no hinges anymore (saving of around 3kg)

also bought a dtm spoiler;

the next couple of weeks will be reserved for hanging the engine back and rerouting the exhaust and stuff, so some big updates to come
