I am numb with shock reading this! :'(
I regarded Mike as a dear friend & met him often in person after getting to know him on OOF.
He was a fellow ex Matelot and a thoroughly good bloke all round. Not long ago we were talking about his retirement plans from his very stressful job & new opportunities in the pipeline and how much the family were looking forward to the future. I hope to be well enough to attend his Send Off and shall pass on everyone's Condolences to his loving wife Carole, Miss Vamps and Family.
R.I.P Mike Flood, Passed over the Bar September 16th. 2016.
Taken early as only the Best are!
God Bless Mike, see you on the Other Side. :'(

Weetabix, mixed with milk, then allowed to dry. Toughest substance known to man. Rumour has it they used it to coat the nose of the space shuttle.
;D ;D ;D

If I remember rightly NASA used 'Pattern' Weetabix once  on a shuttle & more than a few heat reflective tiles fell off on re-entry! :D ;D

First & last time I went to one of those places near here, I had a Morris Traveller & had to watch as two bloody monkeys calmly inspected and then equally calmly ripped off both wipers! I couldn't drive off as half a dozen of the 'gang' were sat in the road in front of me with a collective 'Do you feel lucky punk' look!!!! ;D

Swmbo won't allow the heating or fire on unless either the budgie turns itself into an inanimate ball of fluffed feathers or the dogs begin to show signs of frostbite in their nether regions! It matters not what state of distress i'm in, she just tells me to man up & remember the days when I was 'Watch on Deck' chipping ice from the Superstructure, 'cos I live on 'Easy Street' now! ::) ;D

Paddy was returning home to the Emerald Isle for a well deserved break and the stewardess asked him if he would care for a drink.
"Oid love a shot of good old Irish whiskey girl", says he.
The Stewardess duly brings Paddy his drink and asks the man in the seat next to him if he would care for a drink too?
"I would rather be raped by a thousand whores than let alcohol pass my lips", said the man who was apparently of the Muslim Faith.
Me too! said Paddy, handing back his glass, you should have told me I had a choice!   ;D

I don't like foreign places....or foreigners.. ;D

If you go at the right any time, many of the foreigners aren't there! Paris in August for example.

That's 'cos they're all bleedin' over 'ere! ;D

Absolutely beautiful places of Ale Worship that have gladly survived the vagaries of time and circumstance, unlike a multitude of others, sadly! Thanks for Posting these, I enjoyed them immensely.  :y

Kate, far be it for me to throw a spanner in the works, so to speak, but that car is just too clean to be er.... clean?
The paint looks too 'new' and to my eye not 'Factory finish'. Please check the identification plates & stamps on the vehicle and the engine number to put your (our) mind at rest that the car is genuine & not a 'Ringer' or god forbid, a 'Cut & Shut'!
You can Google for the info to check all the above! I sincerely hope you have bought an amazing bargain Kate and you both live happily ever after! :y
Please let us know what you find, regardless! Fingers & Toes Crossed for you. Kindest regards, Phil. :y
