Well i have fitted the clutch switch to my 97 v6 and hey presto it works. SO to cap you dont ness have to fit a 4 pin brake switch to enable it to work but you do need to fit the clutch switch if you have a manuel box.Seems that vx have some strange wireing looms fitted to the cars,some have the switches some dont. Just got a system to fit to my dads on sunday but his is an auto.

I have bought a 3.0v6 elite on a m plate for breaking which has cruise control,if i wished to fit this system to my 97 tourer,which parts do i remove to make this poss if it is poss that is,and how does it work,mech or electrical??

Is it poss to fit 3.2cams into a 2.5 engine seeing as you can fit 3.0 into 2.5 v6's.just mulling ideas over in my brain cell,

My dad has just informed me that the door restraint link on his 97 cd has started making a loud bang when he opens the door.So he sourced one from a scrappy that seemed to be ok, but when he fitted that to his car it was making the same noise.looks like a trip to the stealer for a new part,or is he doing something wrong when fitting.

I know we will get to the bottom of the problem on this site,thanks in advance

My father who has a 97 v6 cd last year had lower arms replaced along with both front shockers ,gen vx parts. the dealer at that time could not check geometry due to not having the correct equipment,so we took it to feltham tyres to have it set up.They do have the equipment to do it.They charged over £70 and fitted a new tyre at the same time.It hasnow rubbed out the inside of the new tyre and they are now saying that omegas are a sod to get right as they have very fine tolerances,and they should be checked every 6 months.Is this compleat b***** or are they correct.

Omega General Help / headlamps

 :-?Hi all, can anybody tell me if they have ever removed the lens from a headlamp.It has push catches all round but also appears to be bonded on as well.? I ask this as an internal adjuster on the reflector has broken and i feel sure that it can be repaired if i can get the lens off.Gary. 8-)

With regards to the crank sensor fitted to the v6,would the crank sensor just fail,rather than give intermittent signs of failure.I ask this as my fathers  v6 this morning proved a touch stubbon to start,It did start after two or three attempts but this is most unusual.any thoughts most grateful.

Wanted a pair of HID headlights for my 97 Tourer, as the beam pattern is goosed on my std lights so want to upgrade to hids, If poss with a small amount of loom with plugs and instructions for wiring please.

Right, i am slowly catching up on jobs to do to the miggy, i have sorted the door lock solonoid and arm rest lid, so now i need for a pre facelift car the Handbrake gaitor &
Gearstick gaitor for a manual box.

Both must be Black and as near to Mint as poss please. Can pay via paypal if needed.

As per the title, must be in mint condition with No dents etc, any colour, dont matter as will be sprayed to match car.
Near as poss to london but will travel if need be.
