hi, I'm planning to put a manual engine and gearbox in an auto mv6. the donor car is a 96 3l elite, this is the thing I'm struggling to get an answer for and any help would be great.......would the ecu off a say 2000 manual mv6 ecu work on the engine? going to change the plenum and any other bits that a different too. many thanks :) hoping to be back in a manual mv6 again soon xD

Welcome. And feel free to post in Help section, as you'll get more/better responses on there. Can't say for certain myself, I've only ever replaced an autobox for another autobox  :)

thanks :) ok shall do,  ive previously owned 2 2.5's and a 3l mv6 pre face lift, I wont own a facelift lol that's why im going through the hassle, I found the 96 3l with only 47000 miles on it :D exciting times :D
