boot gas struts
« on: 31 July 2017, 15:08:56 »

Hello people hope you're all on top of the world!
I have a 99 mfl elite saloon with the boot spoiler, the struts are getting lazy and I wondered if anyone knows the part number? and if the slightly heavier elite boot lids have a higher pressure strut?
Thanks
Steve   :y

Same, the boot spoiler is hollow plastic and weighs nothing.

£13 each, not bad. How have you found them? The 3.2's are getting quite weak

Can't remember where mine came from for TBE, but was around £22 delivered for the pair.  They're fine, and a million times better than the originals that came off.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-2003-Vauxhall-Omega-Saloon-Tailgate-Boot-Struts-Gas-Springs-Lifters-x2-PAIR-/140896500829?hash=item20ce15fc5d is I think the new link for the ones I ordered for my dads Facelift Saloon which were the same as the ones I ordered for my MFL.  It has some OEM numbers on the listing if that helps.

Tempted to replace, but as I've lived with them like this for about 5 years not much point in replacing them now.
