Hmm, not a big surprise over a quarter mile track; electric motors have loads of torque from rest, borne out by the comment in the article about the Lamborghini's slow start.
The story would be different after a further quarter mile!
Probably after a tankful with the Lamborghini too - leaving the Tesla out of charge and grounded?  :-[
