No it's a Football team which has it's ground North of Liverpool and North of Everton. It's stereotypically catholic, and was owned for years by John Moores - he of the Littlewoods pools and catalogues.
Wayne is a local idiot from Croxteth, (which is famous for being where 11 year old Rhys Jones was shot dead by 16 year old Sean Mercer)
Wayne's upbringing may not have been particularly normal, and my understanding is that a social worker who helped the family, may have described him off the record as "A oppsing Little Shit" ****Note when I say may, I can not confirm my 4th hand sources and nobody might have said it, and it might be my imagination.
I did once see him getting into a black 4X4 with 6 large pizza boxes. He was parked at a junction, half on the pavement on double yellows, in Formby Village.
Wayne is quite good at football, and has made a living out of being very aggressive. although had he gone to a nice school, he would have made a particularly good prop forward.
