So I do get rightly on my high horse when I see people abusing the privilege.
Sky officially recognise flexible working, it's a part of all new contracts. (at least in Tech) - For things such as child care, hence I do 1 day a week from home now. So my boss knew today I was doing a nursery drop off and taking MrsT to the hospital.
I wasn't picking on you. What agreements you and your boss have are between you. But even then, try to keep unavailable time to before/after/lunchtime, as others outside your team might start to notice that that tunnie guy is never around when at home
Flexible working is a privilege very easily withdrawn from any contract
. Every few years I see it. And, as said, all because a significant proporsion of flexible workers class WFH as an excuse to watch Bargain Hunt.
And ask yourself, how can somebody WFH during half term to look after their little baskets be "working" efficiently.
And that's before I get onto a rant about someone who said they were "WFH" today, yet yesterday had said their internet at home wasn't working, and it would be several days to get it fixed.
