Quite looking forward to it having had the Zafira for nearly 9 years, back to 'correct' wheel drive to.

Although the Lincolnshire lord will be disappointed that it runs on boat fuel (needs must!)
Now you have it, we need pics :).  And a full road test review ;D

Pics....hmmm, that means I have to think about a new photo host.

Only completed a mere 640 miles so far.....not quite one tank of fuel with one of the commute trips showing an indicated 71mpg  :o (the calculated from fill shows its closer to 68mpg) but, its averaging 58 (as you cant drive economically all the time).

Very comfortable and incredibly well planted on the road, the X260 is a better drive than the X250 certainly (although some of the dash does feel cheaper), very sure on its feet, predictable and still achieves Webby type 0-60 times when pushed. The much improved rear leg and head room over the previous version is very noticebale.

Autobox is pretty good (as good as a slush pump can be), certainly does most of what I need.

Its paint code 1AG....which for an XF is Ultimate Black.....and on Land Rovers is Santorini Black (and exactly the same colour!)  :y

I fear it may be a git to keep clean though  :(

Didn't know that.

Same colour as my old 2013 XFR, and the best coiour there is for an XF in my view.

You're right. It will be 'a bit of a bastard' to keep clean, but for the ten minutes before it rains again it will look wonderful. :y :y :y

I did manage to get the salesman to take my lad out for an extended test drive in a V6 Supercharged F-Type, they were painting 11's on the A52 apparently.

The grin he had on his return was quite something!  :y

Out of interest, did you consider the XE?

Was this too small for your needs?

Agree  :y. For me, that dark(ish) metallic red is close behind and on my own car I'd take the red dye to laziness. If someone else is cleaning it though, black every time :).
