Plusnet mobile
« on: 09 February 2018, 16:52:31 »

I get a lousy signal at home, 1 or 0 bars, plusnet do not support wifi calling, or supply a booster, although the EE carrier does if signed up with them. Any ideas how to boost my signal? On iPhone5s

Check to see which direction all the satellite dishes are facing and hang out of an upstairs window on that side of the house!  :y

All very exciting options, but unfortunately they do not assist in improving the signal indoors. ::)

As long as you don't fall out of the window, you are partly indoors!  ::)  ;D

With all the tech wizards on here, I am surprised no-one has a solution to this, other than change back to Vodafone, whose signal was worse, but do offer boosters.  :-\ :-\ :-\

It's a recognised problem, Chris. Three have an app that let's you make calls over the internet, but we can at least get one bar here. When we go to mums in Liverpool, you have to walk to the end of the street to get a signal.

Well, if you can get a half decent Signal outside, you could install a Mobile Repeater Booster system, they do work if installed properly, bottom line its an outside Aerial as high as possible on the House, ideally facing your best Signal Radio Mast, some decent cable feeding the Box of Tricks, then more decent cable feeding the internal Aerial(s).

Ive done a few of these installs in the past for people who are stuck, needs to be done properly as they key is to get as much isolation between the external and internal aerials, then choose your poison on the Box of tricks as to which Mobile Bands you want to cover.

Other option and probably cheaper is to install another form of Mobile Box that works through your internet Connection, but that generally will only boost Voice Calls.

You could try O2 or anybody else that runs on the O2 network (giffgaff for example)
Ive used my giffgaff phone to make calls in your village ok  :y
