The Next Meeting Of The Jocular Omegas, Easter 07
« on: 20 February 2007, 12:33:21 »

Hello Guys,
Well I Think it's about time we started a new thread about the Next Meeting of the Jockular Omegas.

How's about Easter Monday, 9th April 07 on the Bonnie, Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond and make a day of it and have a BBQ, I was thinking about Rowerdannen at the base of Ben Lomond it's a Great Location and it's on the quieter east side of the loch and the road ends there so no through traffic :)

Tell me what you think!!!!!!!!

BTW is Easter Monday a bank holiday in Scotland? I'm a student so I can take it off regardless but just curious as to the choice of that day.

The  reason I choice this date was the fact that it was a bank holiday, as the last time we tryed to organise a date people where working, so I chose a bank holiday to maximise attendence :)

There is a great picnic area there right next to the car park :y

Location is fine, not been round that way for AGES so why not?

May be a trek for some others, though...

You fancy a whisky tour?

Glenturret Distillery location

Its quite central(ish)...

If partners were attending, could be left wandering the glass factory type places in Crieff.

Sorry chaps, but I think that is getting a wee bit too far away for me!  :'(
That must be at least another hour past Stirling, I think, and that means around 8 hours driving in total, probably more knowing the frigging tourists on the A9 on bank holidays. >:(
For your next one after this try somewhere around Perth, its a more central location for everyone! ;)
Have fun boys (& girls).

Jim,
I'm going to have to disagree with you mate. It takes me 2.5 hours to get to Stirling on a good day, 3 hours to glasgae. :-[
With that being Easter bank holiday weekend, the roads are going to be busier anyway. :(
Remember dude, my roads up here only have 1 lane going either way, mostly. :'(  :'(
