Headlight adjusters needed
« on: 28 May 2009, 11:14:37 »

Hi, I dont have enough posts to place a wanted ad, and was told to post here and it may get moved.
I have need of 2 of the black plastic headlight adjusters, mine have both shattered. The ones that always break! I dont really want to stump up for new headlights just for these, but I do understand they will be hard to get as it is a common fault, but I thought it would be worth a try.
Many thanks,   Al

Thought so, but thought it worth a try. Someone may have an old set of lamps of otherwise no use to anyone. Thought I might get lucky.

Did I hear the pre-facelift ones are of a more solid construction, or is my memory making things up again?

That looks to be a excellent replacement! Any chance of some sizes/drawings? I repaired mine with epoxy glue but yours looks far superior & long lasting idea!

@ al: I am busy with another friend, who said they did not fit his headlight. Perhaps I have to redesign this solution. How urgent is your request?
I am willing to create several sets and help out my fellow Omega-lovers (of course at a reasonable price).

@ Andy: like stated, I have to redesign the model... but I could measure this unit for you.
Are you able/have the possibility to weld stainless steel? Because all components are stainless steel (incl. the ball; it's from a SKF bearing  ;D )

I do have the facilities to weld stainless & if I'm making anything for myself at work I always try to make it out of shiney stainless steel ...... it'd be rude not to!  :y

A ball from a bearing ....... brilliant! ;D  ;D  ;D  :y :y

Ok, so no alternatives required here?
If the measures are required, I can put them here...

I think it would be very useful if you were to put dimensions etc on here,a very neat looking job you have done. :y

I'm sure that if you were prepared to post up dimensions of your headlamp adjusters, people would be able to get them made even if they didn't have access to stainless welding.  :y
