Interesting view on global warming

Don't know if any of you have visited the Association of British Drivers website. It's nicely pro-motorist, which makes a change.

In particular, I found their views on the current global warming hysteria rather interesting:

Truths my shiny metal @$$.  The ozone layer and global dimming are on the mend.  However, now that global dimming is going away global warming is taking off.  There's a lot of riduculous crap on both sides, but it is happening and it's not a joke.  I guess we'll just ignore it like we ignored terrorism until the destruction is unbearable.

I've read a few articles on this subject, all with varying opinions. However, the general concensus is that it's not proven outright to be caused by man alone as there are many other factors involved. Over millions of years, there have been numerous changes in climate, and not many could possibly be attributed to man because man was not around when many of them took place.

Just ask Jeremy Clarkson about it - he knows all ;) ;D

Global warming, I think is another brainwashing exercise by the do gooders, the same as the anti smoking brigade, brainwashing everyone into believing if they get near a smoker they will die!

I can remember, as a kid, the Elan Valley nearly dried up, (for those who are not aware, it supplies Birmingham with water), and for the first time since it was conceived, Birmingham had a water shortage!

Never happened since, and that was back in the 40's. I wonder what they put that down to?
