Its the WVVC (waffle valve vent cap). It was introduced on the twin turbo models because the gangle pins used to get buckled when the toad flap got snagged on the wingle idlers.

yep I reckon aerial too, they used a very similar looking design on the Primeras of that era.

Nice motor too, I bet it shifts ... but probably costs even more than a barge to maintain - and needs more of it !!

They are problematic....very problematic!

to be honest for me they're another car I've always wanted (like the miggy) ... how bad are they, although I do get the sneaking suspicion that when anything goes wrong under the bonnet it means major expense!!

Engine wasn't much trouble.....it eats suspension bushes and I mean eats them....less than 10K miles.

Wheel bearings were also a regualr fit item.

Cam belt is a pig to do.

Rear wheel steer never worked properly and prices are oh my god how much.....

And dam are the uncomfortable.

He sold his and got a Supra Turbo..........which is also costing a small fortune!
