As a sheetmetal worker/welder/plater myself cutting up your rover would be a piece of cake. at least you wolud be able to do it with a normal  4.5 inch angle griner and thin cutting discs and or even a oxy acteleyene kit   or even better a plamsa all  this  kit ou could hire for a very reasonable price and would only take about 5 hoursish if you were nearer i would do it for fun ;D

Just wish there was one for a 4 pot, need to do mine. :(

Although yours is a facelift and a 2.2, if you was to get a haynes following that is pretty helpful, although when you look at it, its kind of obvious what needs to be done.

Just follow the guide for doing a 2.0

Good Luck with it though.

I know, but would just like to see 'THE MASTER' at work.

Still happy to do it for you but, struggling to get the time at the moment.

I am away (Weymouth) next week and then on the Chezk Wrecks rally with Laidback66 after, can do it in mid September once I have got everything back to 'normal'

i have just recived my copy and exclent its is  very informative and very helpful as mine needs doing ASAP  as my  millage is at 80k, although i still do not feel confident enough to do the job on my own especialy the timming part.

i would be very willing to pay  mark or anyone of youselfs(raher than vx) to help change mine i colud do most of the spanereing(grovel grovel) :-[

I think that rule about 25yrs was in 2002 when they last changed the rules, so I think its pre 1977 doesn't need tax...

dont mean to sound like a know it all  but i an sure a build date of pre aug 1973 is the cut off date for tax free classic it was changed in 2002 from a car reaching a proven 25 yrs old

i wonder how many omega will be around in 12 more years :-/
