Wasted 1.5hrs and about 60 miles looking for LPG. FFS. WTF is wrong with fuel stations.

LPG has had its day. Its nowhere near green enough for the current climate, and garages aren't interested in the grief involved in stocking it for a small and decreasing number of customers.

I'm inclined to agree. There's an LPG station 5 miles from my new office. No problem! Except it increased my commute by an hour to go there on the way home. :(

Hence I'm starting to think about Omega replacements. :'(

LPG stations that do stock it also price it so badly it won’t sell, so they can justify removing the pumps.

Run it on petrol and don't worry about it.

Seriously, if you otherwise like it, it will cost you double* the saving to replace it  :)

*Buying a £500-1,000 shitter every MoT notwithstanding, and unlikely to be your shopping list :y

It's warm. It's not raining. Why isn't Kevin driving the rollerskate, instead?  :D

Hence I ended up with a soot chucker, as at the time I was doing far too many miles to drive a big petrol only, and I wasn't going to LPG one.  Annoyingly, now, my miles have dropped dramatically, so I could have run an xjr575 easily :(.  Ho hum.

I found it a revelation not having to struggle to find fuel all the time, or take big detours for it.  Long gone are the days when it was easy to find en route (ie, before BP decided to remove it from virtually all their forecourts)

Mrs TB is struggling with finding LPG.  Really its only Bicester (which she can't use as the pump just doesn't fit the car - plus its by Bicester Village station, and the barriers are down for about 15 mins 3 times an hour) or Towcester. Neither are on her way, so a 20mile/30min detour.

Its now enough of a problem, we are very seriously considering scrapping it - a decision we need to make soon, as its going to need around £300 spent on bits (all service bits, nothing majorly should need doing) before its MOT that not that far away.  That £300 would go a long way to sorting niggles on a replacement car, which again would have to be one that throws smog out and (hopefully) kills all the children.

Or you could buy the XJR and palm off your current soot server...  :y

The thought had crossed my mind, but she finds it a bit too big.
