The Barge Captain's new Omega
« on: 30 October 2006, 12:38:28 »

I've had this car for about 2 months now, and finally got around to sorting out some pictures of her.

She is a 97 2.5 CDX manual with 133k on the clock.  Cost me £900
Need cambelt doing, aircon gassing, cam covers and breathers just done

Just added an interior pic

Yes i was quite pleased with that seeing as i sold my M reg 2.0 auto for £950  :)

This one was on the forecort for £1400 (trade terms) but when i looked at it the management light was on, and after a test drive there was loads of smoke coming out of the bonnet.  Plugging the rear multiram back in cured the light, and £60 for the rocker gasket kit and a few hours fixed the oil leak.
Dealer said the car owed them £1000, but as it didn't have those problems when they took it in he accepted my offer (which i really didn't think he'd go for)

Tracked down the previouse owner who told me he had been given £500 trade in for it against a diesel Mondao.
