I was going to say, a log burning stove is probably the most hassle-free way of parting with them. ;D

I don't think the national online markets will be much cop to sell that sort of stuff, though you may be lucky.  Gumtree, or a postcard in the supermarket/chipshop/parish noticeboard might be better...   ...though I don't think you will see much for it.

Because I CBA, I tend to drop resellable furniture to my local recycling centre, or just tip it.  The neighbours get nervous if I have a bonfire.

I've used Gumtree with good results, for lots of household stuff, the wife uses local Facebook selling site.
