Title: Air con clutch
Post by: Omega Nige on 31 May 2018, 09:50:19
My air con clutch is not operating, checked gas and it is in the green. Is the 5th relay from the front the relay that operates the clutch if so that isn't getting a signal? Set the air con off eco, low temp and fans on full. What should I check next? Thanks  :)

Yep, you can reach the connector to the clutch from underneath. Check and see if you are getting power there when the air con is turned on.

You can test compressor and fans by taking cap off from relay K60 (green 5ft from the left) and pushing contacts together when engine is running.
This should make fans to run and compressor clutch to operate if wirings and compressor clutch is okay.

Hi, thanks for your info, found out it was all my own fault! I fitted standard shocks and removed fuse F27 so the leveling pump wouldn't run, turns out after reading other threads I need that fuse. Removed the relay instead, replaced the fuse, air con now running, re-gassed all ok  :y
